Ski Aggu

Querbeat is a German band known for their lively mix of brass-pop, funk, and rock. With their energetic performances and uplifting lyrics, they bring festival atmosphere to every stage. Combining traditional brass sections with modern beats, Querbeat creates a unique feel-good sound that gets the audience dancing and singing along.

Dilla

Dilla is a German singer and songwriter who brings a fresh breeze to the German music scene with her blend of pop, hip-hop, funk, and techno.

Bekkaa

Bekkaa is one of the most exciting voices of the current New Wave. After celebrated features with 01099 and being named Lyricist of the Year* at the New Wave Germany Awards, Bekkaa is really making moves in 2024: with two new albums – a spoken-word project and a music album – as well as a busy festival summer, including appearances at Superbloom, Pangea, and Kosmos Chemnitz.

Nanna

Nanna has been writing songs since childhood: she was already at the microphone aged eleven. After participating in The Voice Kids, music became her main focus. Since 2024, she has been actively developing her own sound: dynamic, emotional, and with a touch of nostalgia. She draws inspiration from artists such as Schmyt, Paula Hartmann, and 070 Shake.

BeNice

Bernice aka BeNice is an up-and-coming artist from the Bochum scene, known for her high-energy performances. Blending genres and languages, she combines dance, singing, and rap into a truly unique stage experience. AMS

It took a little while, but AMS has finally arrived. With clever lyrics, catchy tracks, and a touch of humour, he knows how to captivate an audience like few others. Some say his style is reminiscent of Genetikk, others of MoTrip or Sido. One way or another, AMS is forging his own path – and he’s bringing along new tracks from his debut mixtape “Das ist Alles Mein Shit”.

JR: Inside Out - the JR Photobooth

As part of Rhine-Ruhr 2025, the art project Inside Out by JR highlights the cultural diversity of the region. The world-renowned artist uses large-scale black-and-white portraits to make social issues such as equality and climate protection visible. Participants are photographed in a mobile photo booth, with their images directly integrated into the installation, making them part of the creative process. The Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, as a symbol of industrial transformation, provides the perfect setting to showcase the region’s cultural dynamism and change. Inside Out fosters dialogue between art and community and encourages societal engagement.

Die Urbanisten

Die Urbanisten is a non-profit association that strengthens urban coexistence and creates new perspectives for urban living spaces. As a driver of innovation and a platform for participation, they promote active involvement in shaping the city. Their focus lies on public space as an interface between culture, urban development, and the ideas of the people. In their vision, residents take responsibility for shaping their living environment in a creative, collaborative, and locally rooted way – vibrant and self-determined.

AREA UDC – URBAN DANCE WORKSHOPS & BATTLES 

AREA UDC is the meeting point for all dance enthusiasts of the urban scene. As part of the Ruhr Games Festival, you will have the opportunity to learn about the culture and diversity of Urban Dance through workshops. Train with international dancers such as B-Girl Kastet, Oomoo, or Paradox, specialising in various styles including House, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Breaking, Afro, or Waacking. The workshops are open to everyone – from beginners to experienced dancers. Over the weekend, a special highlight awaits you: the Urban Dance Battles. Everyone has the chance to showcase their skills here. The event will be accompanied by a diverse international jury and renowned DJs. All competitions are international, open to all levels and genders.
