Accessible & Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair users will find accessible seating and routes designed to support independent and safe movement throughout the venue.

How to Book Accessible Seating

To secure a spot in designated wheelchair areas, spectators are encouraged to book early. Accessible seating can be selected during the ticketing process by indicating specific accessibility needs. This can be done through the official ticket shop.

Information about access procedures is available on the ticketing platform and in the visitor guide. If accessible seating is fully booked, this will be clearly shown during the reservation process.

If you have any questions or face challenges during the booking process, please email inclusion@rhineruhr2025.com or call the ticketing hotline at +49 211 38789197.

Accessible Entrances

Each venue includes accessible entrances to ensure barrier-free access for individuals using wheelchairs or with limited mobility. These entrances provide an alternative when the general entrance is not accessible and are designed for smooth, independent entry into the venue. The accessible entrances will be marked on the venue maps, provided both digitally (via the venue profiles), the official Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU WUG app (iOS, Android), and our NFC Experience App on-site.

Elevator Availability

To support ease of movement in venues with multiple floors, elevators will be available in areas such as the grandstands and seating areas, especially for wheelchair users and other spectators with mobility impairments. Elevators will be highlighted on venue maps and in the app to ensure easy access to different levels of the venue.

Arrival Timing Recommendations

For those requiring wheelchair assistance or needing additional time to get to their seats, it is recommended to arrive early. This ensures there is sufficient time for any necessary mobility assistance and for securing accessible seating – an accessible, or any other seat, can only be guaranteed with a Sport Ticket. Spectators should aim to arrive 45 minutes before the event to allow for check-in, and to ensure easy access to all facilities.

Mobility Assistance

For spectators who require wheelchair access or have mobility impairments, mobility assistance will be available at all venues. To ensure a smooth and comfortable experience, certain venues will offer mobility support such as golf carts or E-Rickshaws, particularly at larger locations with longer internal walking distances. In addition, Inclusion Volunteers will be on hand to provide support upon request, helping spectators navigate between key areas of the venue as needed.
