Sporthalle am Hall receives official venue plaque for Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
During the handball match between TuSEM Essen and HSG Nordhorn-Lingen last Sunday, the Sporthalle Am Hallo was officially honoured as the venue for the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games. Sina Diekmann, Chief Sports Officer of the organising committee, presented Essen's Lord Mayor Thomas Kufen with two venue plaques.
The plaques recognise the close cooperation and commitment of the sports venues involved in the run-up to the world's largest student multi-sport event, which is taking place in the Rhine-Ruhr region this summer. The Am Hallo sports hall will play a central role: Numerous basketball competitions will be held here, while the archery qualifying rounds will take place in the neighbouring stadium.
The award once again puts the Am Hallo sports hall in the focus of the international sports public and emphasises its importance as a multifunctional competition venue in the heart of the Ruhr region.
