Walter-Schädlich-Halle

A compact and modern 735-seat venue opened in 2015, the Walter-Schädlich-Halle is the epitome of a multi-use facility. Barrier-free and highly energy efficient, the hall is illuminated by a surrounding window band with light-diffusing capillary windows. This means that student-athletes and visitors are not blinded in bright sunshine, instead only dazzled by the brilliant performances on court. At the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, the hall will host preliminary matches in the men’s and women’s basketball competitions.
