The youngest of the six Ruhr reservoirs, Kemnader See remains one of the most popular outdoor leisure destinations in North Rhine-Westphalia. Activities include pedal boating, cycling, and skateboarding. Located 10km southeast of Bochum city centre, the 9km-long shoreline will provide a picturesque setting for the half marathon and race walk events on 26 and 27 July 2025.
