ADH
The German University Sports Federation (adh) is a shareholder of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games. The adh has over 200 member universities in Germany and has been the umbrella organisation for university sports in Germany since 1948.

BMI
The Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) is a supreme federal authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. The ministry is currently headed by Nancy Faeser and is also responsible for sport. The BMI acts as a funding body and member of the advisory board for the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, and it played a key role in the Rhine-Ruhr region’s bid.

FISU
FISU is the International University Sports Federation and the event owner of the FISU World University Games. FISU is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is governed by President Leonz Eder.

NRW
With around 17.9 million inhabitants and 30 major cities, North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is the most populous federal state in Germany. The Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region of NRW is one of the 30 largest metropolitan areas in the world, with around ten million inhabitants. The region’s passion for sport is reflected in its extensive membership base, with around five million people actively enrolled in local sports clubs.

RAG-Stiftung
The RAG-Stiftung finances what are termed perpetual obligations – obligations that have remained since the end of German hard coal mining. They relate mainly to pit water management, polder measures and ground water purification in the former hard coal mining regions along the Ruhr and Saar rivers as well as in Ibbenbüren. The RAG-Stiftung thereby reduces the burden on the public sector and makes an indispensable contribution to the ecological and economic transformation around the former mine sites. It also provides an important boost by promoting education, science and culture.

Regionalverband Ruhr
The Regional Association Ruhr (Regionalverband Ruhr), a coalition of eleven independent cities and four districts, has the statutory mandate to shape the future of the Ruhr region. In all key areas of regional activity, the association acts as a networker, coordinator, driving force, service provider or project sponsor for the Ruhr. Its overarching goal is to transform the Ruhr into the greenest industrial region in the world. Among its most important subsidiaries are Ruhr Tourismus GmbH (RTG) and Business Metropole Ruhr GmbH (BMR).

Qiaodan Sports has a long-standing partnership with university sports organisations, having held the status of Official Partner of FISU since 2016. The company also serves as the Official Partner of the FISU 3x3 Basketball World University Cup. Macron
Macron is a leading international supplier of sportswear and equipment. Based in Bologna, Italy, the company focuses on quality, innovation and sustainability and supplies numerous professional and amateur sports teams worldwide. The Italian sporting goods manufacturer will produce more than 150,000 high quality garments to be worn by the volunteers, employees and officials at the FISU Games, ensuring a harmonious overall image at the eagerly awaited international sporting festival.

Riedel Communications GmbH & Co. KG is a leading provider of live production solutions across media, sports, and entertainment. WestLotto is the largest sports supporter in North Rhine-Westphalia and, through the so called “Lotto-Prinzip”, a strong partner to numerous charitable organisations. As an official partner of the World University Games, with a focus on the volunteer programme, WestLotto is highlighting the irreplaceable role of volunteers at the largest sports festival in 2025: WestLotto will be prominently featured on the uniforms of around 12,000 volunteers, enhancing there visibility during the games.
